Tami Peterson partners with students, their families, young adults and educators to design unique pathways for meaningful work and fulfilling lifelong vocation.

With an extensive background in secondary education and college guidance, Tami helps high school students, college students, young adults, and the educators who support them move beyond the transactional nature of choosing a major or career to the transformative work of discovering who they are before deciding what they will do. Using the Highlands Ability Battery as a foundational tool, she helps clients understand their unique wiring and how their natural abilities connect to flourishing work.

Using her company’s unique vocational discipleship framework, Tami helps clients translate self-discovery into concrete next steps — clarifying educational pathways, career possibilities, and long-term direction. For those who desire it, she also integrates a faith-informed perspective, inviting individuals to explore how their gifts, values, and sense of calling can shape a purposeful life and career.

Experience

Tami Peterson is the Founder and Creative Engagement Officer of Life Architects Coaching. Before launching her coaching practice, Tami spent many years in secondary education, serving in roles that included teacher, librarian, admissions director, and director of college advising. Her work in college guidance gave her firsthand experience helping students and families navigate the increasingly complex and high-pressure college admissions landscape.

A Highlands Certified Consultant since 2011, Tami provides one-on-one coaching for students and young adults, leads workshops, speaks at school and parent events, and facilitates professional development training for counselors and faculty who want to incorporate aptitude-based and vocationally informed approaches into their advising.

In addition to her coaching and consulting work, Tami has contributed to the development of resources for the Highlands system as a copywriter for the Highlands Student Report and Career Exploration Supplement.
