Focus
:My focus in working with individuals is helping them answer the critically important question “Who am I?” as a necessary step in deciding on a career path that will be a good fit for them. My approach is comprehensive in that I lead my clients through an exploration of their abilities, interests, personality, and values.
I’ve helped individuals at various stages make good decisions about their career paths for over 30 years. I use the Highlands Ability Battery in the career decision-making process to help an individual truly understand their unique aptitudes and abilities and the careers that would most capitalize on them. I then lead them through a process of exploring their best-fit careers to ensure success in their decision-making.
Experience
:My specialty is career counseling. Many counselors include career counseling among other types of counseling they offer, but my area of expertise is helping individuals decide on a college major, a career, or a career transition. My target groups include high school juniors and seniors, college students, new professionals (those who have launched their careers and are not happy), mid-life career changers, and those contemplating retirement who want to engage in some form of work.
