Focus

:

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” – Albert Einstein

Your natural abilities are gifts that combine to make you uniquely you. When you recognize, understand and appreciate them, you hold the key to unlocking your full potential.

My approach to coaching is based on one of my core beliefs: that everyone deserves to be seen and respected for who they are—free of judgment and “should’s.”

In the context of career, this is huge. If you’ve ever felt like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole, you’re all too aware of the frustration that comes with a mismatched job or career.

So how can you go about finding work that is a good fit for you? The first step is to gain a deeper level of self-awareness, starting with your natural abilities. The more you know about yourself, the better equipped you are to make proactive decisions throughout the turning points and transitions in your career … and life.

Instead of going wherever your career leads you, you lead your career. You’re satisfied. Fulfilled. Energized. And far more likely to achieve success—however you define it.

As a Highlands consultant, I take a holistic approach to guiding clients through this process of self-discovery. My goal is to empower individuals to explore their career options with greater precision, find work that’s rewarding and meaningful to them and, ultimately, achieve their professional and personal goals.

I partner with growth-minded clients of all ages and career stages seeking greater clarity and confidence while authoring the next chapter in their career story. I especially enjoy helping young adults find their professional footing as they launch or refine their first career.

Experience

:

By degree—and at heart—I’m a teacher. I’m also a writer, editor, marketer and coach, roles I’ve been fortunate to combine throughout my career. The thread that weaves them all together is my strong belief that knowledge is power … and self-knowledge is a superpower.

As my career unfolded, helping people “figure it out” moved beyond the walls of a high school classroom. But empowering others to make informed decisions for themselves has been—and remains—the overarching mission of my full-circle career.
