Known for his creativity and intense curiosity, Ken Kinard is a nationally recognized consultant and coach for leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives. He was trained as a Co-Active Certified Coach (CPCC) by The Coaches Training Institute and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

When he’s not coaching individuals, he’s helping teams become more productive and effective through Creativity Labs, where clients learn the creative process by first-hand experience. He offers hands-on training in an interactive learning environment enjoyed by introverts and extroverts alike.

Experience

In 1999 he founded Accent Interactive, a marketing and communications agency. Accent is known for their unique approach with clients—co-active creativity—where they don’t just create for you, they create with you.

Before founding Accent Interactive he taught music technology, music theory, and The Great Books at Biola University near Los Angeles, California. His teaching and mentoring experience produced a unique blend of challenge and support to help people reach their potential.

Education and Certifications

Ken has a Master of Music (MM) degree in Computer Music Composition from Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University, where he developed an appreciation for creativity through the arts and a love for coffee.

On the Highlands Ability Battery, Ken scored in the 99th percentile for Spatial Relations Theory, which he uses to help clients imagine and create an ideal career path.

Ken lives in Baltimore with his wife, their four young creatives, and their dog, Gracie.
