From my earliest years as a clinical psychologist, I have always been interested in transformational development through the life cycle. We are changing and emerging beings. To best understand who we are today and who we are becoming as we evolve into the future, we are served best when we have methods and tools that assist us in understanding ourselves. Giving language and insight to our natural abilities and building on those abilities as we make choices through life, provides a much needed roadmap or template to guide us through the myriad decisions we need to make. In my work as a psychologist and coach I use my own empathic skills along with objective data to join my clients in their journey. Through the work we do together, the focus is to reduce the anxiety about change and embrace the excitement of the unknown.
Over the last forty years I have had the pleasure of serving as a change agent for countless people from many backgrounds. My first clinical experience was in the USAF working with airmen and their families. By age 30, I was the director of a large Community Mental Health Center. I later moved on to fulltime clinical practice and in the mid 90’s was among the first to receive training in THAB. That was a nodal point for me which moved me into the world of executive and career coaching where I now spend half my time. Retirement is not in my future!
