The ancient Greeks believed that to know one’s self was the foundation of wisdom, which led to a life worth living. Therefore, prior to formulating a plan of action, we will work together to examine and develop a deeper understanding of:

● What are your core values, beliefs and moral convictions?
● What are your unique traits and interests?
● Where do you turn for support and advice?
● What feeds your soul (combining joy with purpose)?

This reflective process situates your Highlands Ability Battery (HAB) results within the Whole Person Model — aligning WHO you are, WHAT you will do and WHY you will do it.

For students, the HAB debrief will:
● Provide practical study strategies based on how your brain learns and solves problems
● Identify leadership opportunities on campus for outlets of natural abilities
● Enhance self-expression in relationships, interviews and essays
● Offer a launchpad for curated exploration of fields of study and college fit

For leaders and organizations, the HAB debrief will:
● Target factors contributing to feeling drained or dissatisfied
● Pinpoint specific talents and blindspots in order to maximize group dynamics
● Establish common language to self-disclose strengths and needs
● Channel avenues to leverage unique style and increase influence, collaboration and effectiveness

Experience

Dr. Tony Saegert serves as a Dean of Advising where he invites students to discover and pursue the Good Life as they navigate college, career and calling. Prior to this role, he spent over a decade in the classroom as a teacher, an invaluable perspective when helping others achieve academic success.

A life-long learner himself, Dr. Saegert has experienced every level and sector of education, spanning from public high school to classical Christian and small Christian liberal arts college to large, public research university. A Colson Fellow, his expertise specializes in student formation from a Biblical worldview.

In high school, Tony’s professional aspirations were to teach at his alma mater. And while this plan came to fruition, his career path has, graciously, blossomed into something he never could have laid out on his own. As

a result, he considers it a calling to pay it forward by equipping others with the tools and insight to embrace new opportunities, exercise wisdom, and orient themselves towards the Good, the True, and the Beautiful in both education and life.
