Dr. Joan R. Alabart-Cordoba
Dr. Alabart initiated and continues to oversee a Leadership Development program at URV. His primary focus revolves around leadership across three distinct levels: self-leadership, team leadership (for managers), and organizational leadership (for executives). Guided by his personal mission to “ignite potential in individuals,” he assists his students in identifying their innate talents and strengths, empowering them to maximize their professional performance and steer their careers more proficiently.
In line with this ethos, he extends coaching services and conducts in-company training sessions for managers and teams across various companies, aiming to enhance their leadership skills and overall effectiveness.
Professor Alabart actively participated in implementing the Project-Based Learning approach and played a pivotal role in developing and teaching the Team Leadership in Practice course, both integral components that significantly enhanced the Educational Model of the Chemical Engineering School. Concurrently, he co-founded the URV’s MBA program and continues to spearhead its leadership (since 1995). Moreover, he orchestrated the University-Enterprise Training Partnership – PROJECTT, a collaborative European network comprising universities, enterprises, research centers, and professional associations (1994-97). His expertise led to an appointment by the European Foundation for Quality Management as an Assessor for the European Quality Award (1998-01).
