Focus

:

As a Learning Support Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, and School Psychological Examiner, I have spent my career helping children, teens, and adults discover how they learn best and identify the strengths that help them thrive. Too often, students make important educational and career decisions without truly understanding how they are naturally wired. The Highlands Ability Battery provides valuable insight into the abilities that come most naturally, allowing individuals to make confident, informed decisions about their future.

The Highlands Ability Battery can help you:

  • discover your unique pattern of natural abilities
  • develop greater self-awareness and confidence
  • identify your preferred learning and problem-solving style
  • make informed decisions about high school courses, college majors, careers, and future opportunities
  • understand how your strengths influence motivation, performance, and long-term satisfaction
  • learn to “Do What You Do Best”

The HAB is valuable for middle school, high school, and university students exploring academic and career pathways, as well as adults considering career transitions, leadership opportunities, or greater fulfillment in their work. It is also especially helpful for individuals who have ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, or other learning differences, providing a strengths-based perspective that complements traditional educational and psychological assessments.

Experience

:

As an Educational Diagnostician, School Psychological Examiner, Learning Support Specialist, Executive Function Coach, and Highlands Ability Battery Certified Consultant, I have dedicated my career to helping children, adolescents, and adults better understand how they are uniquely designed to learn, think, work, and thrive.

I believe every person has been created with God-given abilities, strengths, and purpose. Too often, people spend years focusing on their weaknesses or trying to fit into someone else’s definition of success. When we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves—how we naturally solve problems, learn, communicate, and contribute—we are able to make wiser decisions, build greater confidence, and pursue opportunities that align with who we truly are.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, executive functioning challenges, and other learning differences. My experience in psychoeducational assessment allows me to recognize both the challenges people face and the unique strengths they bring. The Highlands Ability Battery adds another powerful dimension by revealing the natural abilities that often explain why certain environments, careers, and ways of learning feel energizing while others do not.

I believe assessment should never end with a report—it should provide a roadmap. Whether through psychoeducational evaluation or the Highlands Ability Battery, my goal is to help individuals understand themselves more deeply so they can move forward with confidence, purpose, and hope.

Whether I am working with a student exploring future educational pathways, a university student selecting a major, or an adult considering a career transition, my desire is the same: to help each person discover what they naturally do best and equip them to build a life that reflects their unique strengths, gifts, and calling.
