:I help people maximize their talents and navigate transitions. Having knowledge about one’s natural abilities serves as an important foundation for career and life success in a rapidly changing world. Most people experience significant life transitions every 12-18 months and have 5-7 careers in their lifetime. The Highlands Ability Battery is a unique tool that provides an objective assessment about natural abilities, learning modalities, and preferred work environments. It is not skills assessments where people want achieve all high scores, but rather provides information about unique talents and how to maximize them. It can be paired with other assessments to broaden one’s awareness of motivations, interests, and personal style to enhance success in all career stages.
Experience
:I have been trained in counseling psychology, organizational development, coaching, and have many years of experience as a leader in higher education and professional organizations. As vice chancellor for student affairs for two decades, I provided leadership for 150 staff and services that support students beyond the classroom – health services, counseling and wellbeing, career services, student life, housing, accessibility, testing, athletics, and recreation. I am experienced and passionate about promoting student success and employee development. Professional organization leadership and service includes President of Society of Consulting Psychology, Division 13 of the American Psychological Association, Co-chair of the Council for Student Affairs, and Board of Directors for Association of Public Land Grant Universities. My focus is now on working with individuals to enhance their success and satisfaction.
