The Highlands Ability Battery allows students to identify and better understand their natural abilities, interests, personal style, values, goals, and academic achievement. The ‘whole person’ model ultimately guides students towards identifying careers options suitable to their unique abilities and talents
Experience
:A Licensed Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor since 1998, Carla Miley assists individuals in discovering and harnessing their abilities, skills and capabilities in order to maximize their vocational potential. Originally from New Orleans, in 1997 Carla married her husband John and shortly after they moved to his hometown of Shreveport where they remain and raise their four teenage children. Her children have benefited from and thrived in both private and public education, however Carla’s Vocational Counseling has made her acutely aware that academic success alone is not always a good predictor of vocational success or vocational satisfaction. Carla attest “We all want our children to succeed and be their best academically, however, there is so much more to their future then grades or a test score”.
