Focus
:“A ship in harbor is safe – but that is not what ships are made for.”

Within a confidential environment, I provide a place where you can explore academic and career related areas of your life. My focus is to help support you toward achieving awareness, clarity and action while providing solid tools that help you discover new ways of facing life’s opportunities and challenges. Together, we can seek to halt the destruction of unhealthy patterns, (including procrastination), while bringing hope to your present and future dreams. Regardless of current challenges, we can work together, step-by-step, to effectively help you move toward your next stage of growth.
I utilize a mixture of assessments, (with the Highland’s Ability Battery as the backbone), to help my clients make the best academic and career decisions. It brings me great joy to empower people to make informed decisions about their education and career plans. An understanding of one’s strengths can positively impact the decision-making process. Using the Highlands Ability Battery and in-depth interviews, I help students and adults in career transition gain insight and apply this information to facilitate meaningful professional and educational development.
Experience
:As a counselor and coach, I have worked with ministries and organizations for over 29 years (13 of those overseas), offering career direction and guidance to individuals, couples, and families. We have all had instances when we look back on our lives and say, “If only.” My passion has been to help my clients cut down on those “if onlys” that they might potentially have 10 to 30 years down the road because of wrong academic and career choices. I am committed to developing leaders “from the inside out.” As individual lives are changed, families, companies and cities will be transformed in a positive fashion. The Highlands Ability Battery is an effective tool that can help individuals take that next step in both their personal and professional development.
I work with a wide range of people from students and graduates on the start of their career path to those leaders who need help in the maximizing and/or transitioning of their career and family. Long-distance coaching by phone and internet is available to individuals living anywhere in the world who are seeking more satisfying careers and relationships.
