Focus
:You’ve probably heard the saying, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”. We all want that, to love what we do, it goes without saying. Finding what we love, now that is the difficult part. Finding work you love is about identifying the sweet spot where your God given abilities, your deepest passions and interests, and the needs of others align.
Find that sweet spot, set it firmly in your crosshairs. Then, shoot for the stars. I can help.
Experience
:As a high school science teacher, I loved watching students fall in love with the STEM field. My greatest reward was watching them begin to imagine their place in the world of work as they explored the field. Now, as a career consultant, I connect with students and adults to help them maximize their potential and leverage their strengths.
I feel called to this work because it has been an essential part of the journey for me. I am an educator and a counselor with a heart for people. While I always knew I wanted to work with people, it took me a long time to find my “fit” and the Highlands Ability Battery was an essential piece of the puzzle for me.
Education and Certifications
:I am a licensed affiliate for the Highlands Company, responsible for the industry-leading tool for defining a person’s natural abilities: The Highlands Ability Battery. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology Education from Olivet Nazarene University. I earned my Masters in Counseling from Bradley University.
